The potential of Canada’s young leaders is limitless and every day young Canadians are making a difference in our country, but unfortunately youth are becoming more and more disengaged with their community and often lack the opportunity to exercise these skills.

Leadership and exciting volunteer opportunities, while in high demand, are short in supply, and the trust between youth and decision makers has eroded over time, leading to a troubling disconnect.  We are changing this.

The Canadian Youth Assembly is a national, youth run, non-profit organization that brings youth to the forefront of public discussion, pushing them to become involved in and care about their community’s most pressing issues while offering them the opportunity and responsibility they crave.

Our approach helps youth learn to care about civic engagement, talk about current topics and issues, and eventually become involved in shaping their future.

We are considering making some alterations to the bylaws. As you may recall, we were to make some adjustments to the bylaws a year after they were finished; however this simply didn’t happen as we were caught up in so many other things. We apologize for this laps...
